Video & Audio image collecting----transfer the video signal to
the digital signal that can be read by the computerThe professional image collecting card is to timely transfer the
video signal to the computer memory and display memory by PCI
through AD converting. During the process of collecting, since the
card adopts PCI Master Burst mode to transfer data, the max. image
transferring speed reaches 40MB/S, which can carry out reliable

computer memory, without occupying CPU time, thus leaving CPU more
time to deal with calculating and processing for images.
Formula for image speed rate and collecting
Image size: WXH----you shall first know: how large the image is
needed to collect?Darkness: d---the color of collected images you hope (8 Bit grey or 16/24/32Bit color?)Frame speed: f—standard PAL system is 25 frames. If non-standard,
then will be any frames, even 500-1000 frames is also possible.Data quantity: Q (MB)---Data quantity of image signals.Sampling rate: A (MB)---Sampling rate of the image collecting card,
which can be known from product manual.
Calculating formula: Q=W×H×f×d/8Judging standard: if A>Q×1.2, that means the card can be qualified for image
collecting task.
Others
The standard image source equipment must adopt NTSC or PAL, with
compound video or S-Video, and RGB output port Such information for non-standard signals as line frequency and
field frequency shall be obtained by use of oscillograph or microscopic field testing card.
If sound collecting is needed, then RCA Audio output port for monophonic or stereophonic sound shall be equipped.
You can use the provided video signal cable to connect the video
source equipment with the image collecting card port.
